Telephone Town Hall on Local Food Systems and Agriculture during COVID-19

Featuring Vermont Secretary of Agriculture Anson Tebbetts,  Grace Oedel from NOFA-VT, Pete Johnson from Pete’s Greens and John Sayles from the Vermont Foodbank

On Thursday, April 30th, Molly Gray will host a telephone town hall for Vermont farmers, distributors and consumers on local food systems and agriculture during COVID-19. 

The town hall will begin at 5pm. Joining Gray are guest speakers Anson Tebbetts, Vermont Secretary of Agriculture, Food and Markets, Grace Oedel, Executive Director of NOFA-VT, Pete Johnson, farmer and owner of Pete’s Greens, and John Sayles, CEO of the Vermont Foodbank.

The speakers will be able to answer questions about new guidelines for farmers and consumers shopping at farmers markets this season, business resources for farmers and food producers, how the Vermont Foodbank is sourcing and distributing locally grown food for Vermonters in need, and more.
